Available Car Distance Selling Policy

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if the Customer as a private consumer has entered into the Contract completely off premises (for example online or over the telephone), the Customer may cancel the Contract and return the Purchased Goods within 14 days of receiving them by contacting the Supplier (Available Car) using the email or telephone number given as the contact details at the time of order.

1. Right to Cancel

  • If you have purchased and taken delivery of a vehicle from us without visiting our premises, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

  • The cancellation period expires after 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party on your behalf, take physical possession of the vehicle.

  • To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., email or letter) before the 14-day period expires.

2. Return Procedure

  • Upon notifying us of your cancellation, you must return the vehicle to our premises without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you notify us.

  • You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the vehicle to us.

  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was delivered, including all keys, documentation, and accessories.

3. Vehicle Usage and Condition (Deductions)

  • You are allowed to examine the vehicle to establish its nature and characteristics (similar to a test drive at a showroom). However, if the vehicle is returned in a condition that shows it has been used more than necessary, a deduction may be made from the refund.

  • Mileage Limitation: A maximum of [e.g., 50-250] miles is allowed. Any mileage exceeding this limit may result in a charge of £0.55 + VAT per mile.

  • Damage/Modifications: If the vehicle is returned damaged, modified, or altered from its delivered condition, we will deduct the cost of repairs from the refund.

4. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the vehicle back at our premises.

  • We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.

  • If you part-exchanged a vehicle, we may, at our discretion, return the part-exchanged vehicle or pay you the agreed part-exchange value (minus any necessary costs).

  • We will withhold the refund until we have received the vehicle and all necessary paperwork (e.g., V5 logbook).

5. Responsibility for the Vehicle

  • You are responsible for the insurance, tax, and any fines or penalties incurred (e.g., parking tickets, speeding fines) from the moment you take delivery until the vehicle is accepted back at our premises.
