UPDATED: Latest fundraising totals for our chosen charities

Since April 2009, AvailableCar has supported Rainbows Children’s Hospice in Loughborough through our Castle Donington and Sutton in Ashfield stores. Our Cannock store has been supporting Acorns Children’s Hospice since June 2014 and our Leeds store, which opened in January 2016 has supported Martin House Children’s Hospice.

For every £5 our customers donate when they buy a car from us, we match it, doubling the fundraising totals from our car sales and helping to make a real difference for the youngsters and their families who use the fantastic services provided by the three hospices.

Owners, husband and wife team Graham and Alison Bell had a vision from the very beginning - to raise as much money as possible for some very deserving, local Children’s Charities.

Graham and Alison personally selected each of the three chosen charities, starting with Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People located in Loughborough and supported by our Castle Donington and Sutton-in-Ashfield stores, Acorns Children’s Hospice located in the West Midlands and supported by our Cannock store, and most recently, Martin House Hospice based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, supported by our Leeds store.

Our customers are incredible and have donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to our three chosen charities.

In addition to this, AvailableCar host an annual Golf Day Fundraiser, as well as staff contributing even more by taking part in Marathons, Bike Rides, Skydives and Charity Football Matches, all of which have also raised significant amounts of money.

To date, through customer contributions, AvailableCar fundraisers and the dedication of our staff, we have raised OVER £1MILLION for our three amazing Children’s Charities.

But it doesn’t stop there, and we will be continuing to fundraise throughout 2020, and beyond!

Rainbows Children’s Hospice – £981,626

As the East Midlands’ only purpose-built hospice for children and young people, Rainbows is a place where children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families can find care and support.

The Loughborough-based hospice first opened its doors in 1994 and has since helped relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through their bereavements and care for children until the end. Their families too, are fully supported and helped by the Rainbows team on what can be a very difficult journey.
