Our Mission for Mind! AvailableCar Trekkers take on the National 3 Peaks!
AvailableCar Senior Management Team are trekking up the National 3 Peaks for the mental health charity, Mind!
The Chief Executive Officer of AvailableCar, Michael Bell has challenged his senior management team to step outside of their comfort zone on 8th October to fight for better mental health, as they take on 3 Peaks National challenges for the charity Mind.
Simon, Richard, Sarah, & Dan will be taking on the challenge as part of the Our Mission for Mind fundraising campaign.
CEO of AvailableCar said: I chose to partner with Mind because of the amazing work they do to inspire and support people with mental health issues. We very often neglect how we feel, and this partnership not only allows Mind to provide more resources and support across the UK, but I can raise awareness to all our colleagues at AvailableCar.
Wishing Simon, Richard, Sarah & Dan the very best for their Mission for Mind!
Paul Farmer, CEO of Mind, said: “We are very grateful to the AvailableCar Senior Management team for embracing My Mission for Mind and showing just how far they will go for better mental health. This challenge is all about choosing something personal that will push them beyond their comfort zone, and this certainly sounds like it might do that.
“Even though most coronavirus restrictions have now eased, many of us will be feeling the lasting impact of the pandemic on our mental health, especially for those of us with existing mental health problems.
Our recent survey showed that two thirds of people said their mental health had got worse since the first national lockdown.
Now, more than ever, we need to ensure we are there for everyone who needs us.
AvailableCar has been supporting Mind since October 2019 and so far the partnership has raised over £10,411!
“Thanks to Michael Bell and the ongoing support from AvailableCar, we will be able to reach even more people and ensure everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
We wish Simon, Richard, Sarah & Dan the very best for their Mission for Mind.”.”
