Covid Secure

We are following government advice by implementing strict rules on social distancing and rigorous sanitisation routines to remain COVID SECURE for the health, safety and peace of mind of our Staff and Customers.

These routines include:

  • Health checks for all Staff on arrival
  • Use of supplied PPE for Staff and desks with protective shields
  • We observe two metre social distancing at all times
  • No desk sharing, no car sharing, no job sharing
  • We support our cleaning teams – and give them priority
  • We stay alert and reduce risk at every opportunity
  • The handover of cars will follow strict sanitisation and social distancing rules. For more detail on our Click&Collect, Buy Online and Home Delivery services, click here

Every member of staff has their temperature checked when they arrive on site. They are also asked if they or any member of their family are showing signs of symptoms. If they fail any of these tests, they are kindly asked to return home and self-isolate in line with government guidelines.

All staff are given PPE and sanitiser for their workstation and hands.

All workstations are to be sanitised at regular intervals during the day and if anyone new needs to use the space it is to be sanitised before use.

Shared stations where possible are not to be used.

Plastic shields are put in places where people may be working in an office. Reception, sales desks and parts counters are fitted with shields to protect employees for when they may come in to contact with other people.

Two metre markers will be placed on the floor to show distances to be kept apart.

Workshops will be using social distancing and only one person is permitted to work on a car at any time.

Where possible, cars will be parked two metres apart, where this isn’t possible dividers will be erected to protect staff and PPE must be worn at all times.

Sanitiser stations will be at all entrances and exits and washing of hands will be encouraged regularly.

Where documents, keys or parts must pass between people we will operate social distancing. The first person will place the item in a box or tray, spray it with sanitiser, step two metres away and then the other member of staff will be prompted to pick up the item.

When working inside a car, face masks must be worn at all times.

When Staff have finished working on the car, all areas touched should be wiped down or sprayed with sanitiser.

Before collection, all cars are fumigated with sanitiser, sealed for customer collection and exterior handles wiped down.

Employees will not gather in groups around the site of more than 4 people and they should be social distancing during this time.

All small meetings must be held in a well-ventilated room but where possible done via Zoom.
