FLA launches motor finance website for consumers
The Finance & Leasing Association (FLA) which represents the asset, consumer and motor finance sector in the UK has launched an impartial, web-based guide to motor finance for new and used cars.
FLA research carried out last year found that consumers had generally decided on a method of finance to purchase their car before visiting the showroom.
The FLA hope that by launching this new online resource consumers will understand the breadth of finance options available to them. Their research found that there is an information gap which we hope the website will go someway to filling.
The FLA are not looking for the new site to become a comprehensive guide to buying a car - there are plenty of sites that do that – but provide consumers with an impartial, informative and simple to use source of advice and information on financing their new or used car.
One feature of the site is a finance decider which takes consumers through a series of questions to help identify the type of finance which could best suit their needs. It also has useful sections on consumer protection, including FLA's Lending Code, and car finance checks. It covers practical questions such as the identity document requirements for those taking finance through a dealership, size of deposit and a jargon-buster for motor finance.
Here at Available Car we feel that this is a great information resource, particularly if you have any queries on how to finance your next vehicle.
The website address is www.financingyourcar.org.uk or alternatively contact us directly to find out about our finance deals.
