Recent AvailableCar customers, Keith and Elena Hawkins got more than they bargained for whilst out driving in their new Toyota, which unbelievably, was a new baby daughter! Not having time to make the journey in full, Mum Elena had to give birth to newborn Erica in the car, actually on route to the hospital.

Born at 8lbs 6 oz in the early hours of 8th February, both mother and daughter are fine after the surprise birth and are now settling in at home. Although father Keith was a little shocked on the day, he is now over the moon at becoming a proud father, he said: “I had to call AvailableCar and tell them our news, not only did we get a new car, we got a new daughter as well!

“Luckily, the birth seemed to happen very quickly and although we had no medical assistance at the time, Erica was born healthy and without any complications. We are delighted she has arrived.”

The couple from Sinfin in Derby bought their new Toyota Avensis from AvailableCar and given the position the couple found themselves in, it was an invaluable purchase.

Keith continues: “The car has turned out not only to be superb value, but a total lifesaver as well.
