AvailableCar celebrated for an unbelievable third consecutive year last night as they were awarded the UK's ‘Used Car Retailer’ at the National AM Awards, held at the ICC in Birmingham. They ‘wiped the board’ this year as the judging panel also decided to give the dealership the evening's headline award, ‘Retailer of the Year’, which was a wonderful and extremely prestigious achievement for the whole team.

The awards known as the ‘Oscars’ of the motor trade, recognised AvailableCar for their dedication to customer service, as well as the companies measurable business achievements and the overall level of improvement formed throughout the last twelve months.

Paul Arscott, AvailableCar's Operational Director said: “We are delighted with this years amazing results. We already won the award in 2004 and 2005 and to receive two awards in 2006 is a tremendous achievement.

“The awards are not easy, we were judged in all areas of the business and it seemed the whole team's abilities shone through. Every year we sell more cars, serve more customers and expand our product offer by showcasing the best used cars in the country. We hope this is another indication to all our customers that Available Car offers a refreshing shopping experience.”

The AM Awards honour only a handful of winners out of thousands across the country, rating on business qualities like service and innovation against a strict matrix of criteria. As part of the process AvailableCar were visited by professionals who carried out assessments through a combination of mystery shopping visits and interviews.

Paul continues: “AvailableCar made a dramatic impact on the industry from the outset in 2002 by investing £11 million into a site which now employs over 110 people. We are now forecasting an even larger turnover for 2006, which will be an impressive growth from the first years trading which reached £26 million.

“We are very proud of every award we have ever won and also that we gained them through our innovative sales and recruitment strategy. We only take on people from non-car related backgrounds that are trained not to ‘hard sell’ and to only offer unbeatable levels of service. 2006 promises to be a very exciting year for us with more sales, more vehicle choices, more jobs and definitely more award entries!”

Only last year the already vast ten-acre site was enhanced by adding a further three acres, which created hundreds of additional car park spaces. 90% of vehicles are ‘one owner’ cars sourced by it's buyers with prices ranging from £2,999 up to £24,999 which means there is something for everyone.
